Project Manager

Overview

The Project Manager provides project management and oversight for system development or system implementation projects, which includes planning, organizing, communicating, consulting, and serving as liaison with management and customers. This role coordinates and leads a project team(s) for the duration of the project(s) and serves as a liaison between Waterfield Technologies staff and its customers. The project manager serves as a subject matter expert regarding the use of Implementation Methodology used by Waterfield Technologies as well as adheres to standard Project Management Methodology (PMP) practices. This resource will also participate and coordinate Program Management Office tasks in support of Waterfield Technologies customers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

    1. Responsible for overall solution delivery success and client satisfaction:
      • Responsible for developing project scope, project plans, project schedules, communications plans to meet project and program objectives.
      • Provides leadership and direction to the functional team so that tasks and activities are coordinated for project scope control, quality control, communication management, change control management, risk management, and issue management.
      • Manages and oversees all project life cycle deliverables from beginning to end.
      • Facilitate each phase of the project implementation cycle 
    2. Responsible for effective and efficient communication with the customer and project resources:
      • Develop and deliver progress reports, meeting agendas, requirements/design documentation, and all project life cycle documents/presentations.
      • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
      • Communicate with all team members on an ongoing basis – both internal and customer resources.
      • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and customers.
      • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. 
    3. Responsible for resource utilization targets and project administration:
      • Project Manager = 75%
    4. Support organizational growth:
      • Participate in organizational growth through continued process/delivery improvements
      • Participate in Sales activities with prospective customers to assist the Sales cycle 

EDUCATION 

Four-year college degree (BA/BS) or related experience 

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum 6 years providing professional services in a software application environment. 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

    • Department of Defense Clearance – TOP SECRET
      • Candidate must currently have DoD Clearance or capable of obtaining and maintaining Security Clearance levels.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications – especially MS Project
    • Proficient in Windows Server environment
    • Exceptional written and verbal communications
    • Effective time management of self and others
    • Able to work well independently or in a team environment
    • Proven track record of demonstrated leadership abilities 

PREFERRED SKILLS 

    • PMP Certification
    • Contact Center experience 

TRAVEL 

    • Domestic and International Travel to customer sites – 50%
